Ce'Nedra, Imperial Princess of Tolnedra, was confused.
Everyone knew that the tales of the Orb that protected
the West from the evil god Torak were just silly legends. But here she was, forced
to join a serious and dangerous quest to recover the stolen Orb. No one believed in
sorcery. Yet Garion's aunt and grandfather seemed to be the fabled sorcerers Polgara
and Belgarath, who would have to be thousands of years old. Even young Garion was
learning to do things that could only be sorcery.
Garion! He was nothing but a farm boy, totally
unsuitable for an Imperial Princess. Then why did she have such an urge to teach
him, to brush back his tangled hair, and to comfort him?
Now he was going to a strange tower in the center of all
he believed evil, to face some horrible, powerful magician. And she wouldn't be
there to watch over him.
He might be killed! She'd never see him again....

What a fine book. The finalie in the temple of Cutchik is one of
the highlights of the series.

this one was just slightly worse then the first and second book
because i thought most of the time ther were underground in ulgo was really quite boring
but it's still a great book
Please peeps! This is hands down the greatest of the Belgariad
series as Garion is well on the way to being Belgarion! It's pure genius.

This book, in my opinion, was the most capitivating of the
series. The quarrel between Garion and Salmissra was intresting and the characters become
well developed in this area of the story. Excellent book

I was truly captured by this book as the rest of them, but this
however holds more action and Garion is finally beginning to become Belgarion. Truly a
pleseaure to read.
